Course Description
This 3-credit course covers the Rational ClearCase Software Configuration Management (SCM) tool. The course will cover Configuration Management, theory behind ClearCase, branching patterns and using the online tutorial provided by the tool to name a few. In addition, the Perl scripting language will be used to demonstrate how to write Perl scripts that invoke the cleartool command to perform automated specialized tasks. Who should take this course: This course is for configuration management/software specialists that have exposure to a high-level language such as Perl (refer to the Perl button on the left under Courses) and have a working knowledge of Rational ClearCase.
