Course Description
Lattice vibrations and their interactions with X-rays, neutrons and light. The band model of solids and energy band calculations; the Fermi surface. Transport and optical properties in metals and semiconductors. Magnetism and magnetic resonance; superconductivity. Many-body theory and applications; collective excitations; Greens function techniques in solid state physics.
