Course Description

Provides an introduction to the common areas of the law related to the acquisition and use of computer goods and services. Deals with computers and constitutionally protected private rights, computer crimes, computer torts, and contracts. Methods of protecting software development, such as copyright, patent, trade secrets, and program licensing are explained and discussed. Introduces legal research using a computer.
