Course Description

New technologies have significant impacts on social interaction and social relations. In this course, we will examine these impacts through a focus on technology as it is applied in the workplace and as it affects the workforce. We will focus on workplace issues that have significant implications for society overall and explore questions about who controls technology decision-making, how changes in technology are introduced and promoted, the varied impacts of new technology on the workforce, and the means and methods for supporting democratic input into technological decisions.
