Course Description
A continuation of 15.242, an introduction to the analysis and design of building structural steel elements based on the AISC LRFD Specification is presented. Focus is on general bolted and welded connections and building shear-type connections. Analysis and design of building composite floor systems is also made. Comparison is made between traditional analysis and design methods and use of computer software.
