Course Description

Studies the number systems, switching algebra and combinational logic. Topics include: number systems and binary codes; switching algebra and algebraic simplification; minimization of switching functions using Karnaugh maps, variable-entered maps, and tabular method; multilevel networks; multiple-output networks; network conversion and mixed logic; designs using decoders, multiplexers, read-only memories, programmable logic arrays, and programmable array logics.
