Course Description
An introductory course in polymer science and technology including basic classification and molecular structures, synthesis, solution properties and molecular weight distribution, solid-state properties including both the amorphous and crystalline states, degradation mechanisms, polymer reactions, network formation, copolymerization and blends/alloys. This class is only offered in the evenings and may be used as a substitute by Plastics Engineering majors for 97.503/504.
