Course Description

The Six Sigma methodology is a problem-solving strategy that offers a road map for changing data into knowledge, reducing the amount of daily firefighting, and uncovering opportunities that impact both the customer and the bottom line. In this introductory course, the emphasis will be on learning how to apply the Six Sigma tools and road map, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control), to the student's Six-Sigma project (Transactional or Manufacturing). The student will learn process mapping, measurement system analysis, FMEA, and how to apply statistical analysis techniques using Minitab Statistical software.
