Course Description

A seminar covering various topics in construction occupational health and safety. Topics to be covered include: OSHA and Regulation, Fatalities, Fall Protection and Rigging, Confined Spaces and Trenches, Electrical and Hand Tool Safety (Lockout/Tagout), Job Hazard Analysis, Noise, Ergonomics and the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders, Industrial Hygiene and Exposure to Asbestos, PNOC, Diesel and Lead, and Construction Safety Culture. Outside speakers (many will be safety representatives from construction contractors or other professionals in the construction industry) will be brought in to discuss these topics.
