Course Description

This workshop is designed to reinforce fundamental skills and concepts for incorporating computer technology into the classroom. Students will build a knowledge base and sets of domain-specific skills around computer-based music technologies, and will apply this knowledge to a variety of curriculum projects. At the completion of the workshop, participants will have been introduced to a variety of music software and will be able to configure standard computer and sound synthesis hardware, explain the principles of constructivist and cooperative learning, and will have prepared a variety of lesson plans that utilize computer-based technologies in both traditional and non-traditional delivery formats.
