Course Description

Accelerated Router Configuration strategically combines the materials and labs from the Router Installation and Basic Configuration (course number AV0030080) and Router Configuration and Management (course number AV0030090) instructor-led courses into an accelerated five-day course. Focusing on installing, configuring, and managing a Nortel Networks router, you learn about the available router tools and how to use them to install and configure your router. You learn hands-on skills on how to verify router operation, install bridging software, and identify and resolve network problems. By learning to use and interpret data generated from the Site Manager and T1 applications data, you are able to make informed network management decisions. Comparable to UMass Lowell's 90.466 Router Configuration.

Prerequisites & Notes

  • Prerequisites: Internetworking Fundamentals course number AV0025000 or working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies or Fundamentals of IP Networking self-study course number AX0024001; Experience with any Windows-based application.
  • Special Notes: Students must be enrolled in the Data/Telecommunications: Nortel Router Track certificate program and have completed at least one of UMass Lowell's Data/Telecommunications courses to receive credit for this Nortel Networks course.
