and get personalized support from a dedicated admissions counselor. If you have previously earned credits, your admissions counselor will guide you on how to transfer them.
Once you register for one or more courses, you will be assigned a UMass Lowell student ID number and receive instructions for setting up your UMass Lowell student email account. Once you have your student email set up, follow these instructions to fill the required DocuSign form for the benefit(s) you are requesting:

Education reimbursement policies vary by employer – check with Human Resources to see how much they will cover on an annual basis. Employers are able to deduct $5,250 annually, per employee, for education expenses, which is enough to cover 4 online undergraduate courses at UMass Lowell and about 3 graduate courses.

Most online courses utilize digital resources for which there are no cost. In addition, on the website Course Search page you can use the Search by Category filter and select "Courses with Low/No Cost Materials." If you do take a class that requires a book you can often get a used copy at a discounted price.
