Confirm Your Tuition Credit Eligibility in Two Simple Steps

Step 1: Register for courses.

Step 2: Complete the Tuition Credit with a Supervisor or HR Manager's signature form by logging in using your UMass Lowell student email and ID.

This form will ask you to provide the following information:

  1. Your company-issued email address.
  2. Your Supervisor/HR Rep's name and email (so they can sign the form). Note: Please tell them to expect this document in their inbox after submitting it. A Supervisor/HR Rep's name, email, and signature are required even if your company works with a third-party tuition benefit provider.

Please complete only one form for each semester.

To view an approved tuition credit, log in to SiS. Navigate to the Student Financial Center and view your Account Summary.

Please note that you may not receive the credit if there is a financial hold on your UMass Lowell account, or you have defaulted on a previous tuition payment plan.

Tuition Deferment

UMass Lowell offers tuition deferment to students who are currently employed by one of UMass Lowell's approved corporate or strategic partners. Eligible students must submit a form requesting to defer tuition payments until the completion of the semester with no finance or interest charges. Note: You should not submit a tuition deferment form if you use third-party vouchers or letters of credit to pay tuition.

Tuition Deferment Application Deadlines

Students must submit either (1) The Deferment and Optional Tuition Credit with a Supervisor or HR Manager's signature form or (2) The Deferment and Optional Tuition Credit with an employer letter of authorization form before the start of each semester in which they plan to enroll. If UMass Lowell does not receive the appropriate form before the start of the semester, the request for benefits may be denied.

Reminder: You are encouraged to mark your calendar to adhere to the agreement and pay the balance by the 30-day deadline.

Please note that you will not be eligible to participate in the tuition deferment program if there is a financial hold on your UMass Lowell account or you have defaulted on a previous Tuition Deferment Agreement.

Tuition Vouchers

UMass Lowell may accept Tuition Vouchers or Letters of Credit (LOC) from approved Tuition Program Management providers administering an employer's tuition assistance. Eligible students must submit a form with tuition voucher or letter of credit attached each semester. Note: If you are reimbursed directly by your employer or a Tuition Program Management vendor, you must pay the charges by the bill's due date or apply for tuition deferment.

Please note that not all providers administering an employer's tuition assistance or corporate partners participating in UMass Lowell's tuition voucher program will cover the total cost of enrollment. Therefore, you are responsible for paying the balance not covered by your employer's voucher by the due date on the bill and are subject to the terms of the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement.
