Billing and Payment Policies

You can have refunds from UMass Lowell deposited directly into your bank account. Please see refunds for more information.

Students using company direct payment may submit their documentation electronically to the Solution Center at TSC@uml.edu. Students should submit their documents prior to the start of the term start date. If the third party is not covering 100% of the tuition and fee balance, students should arrange to pay their portion to avoid financial penalties.

Please see our tuition reimbursement process and check with your human resources department to learn if company tuition reimbursement is an option for you.

You must settle your financial obligations to the university to attend class and utilize campus facilities. Additionally, transcripts and diplomas will not be released until debts are paid.

UMass Lowell uses the services of collection agencies authorized under the Commonwealth's Master Service Agreement. Students with a prior balance who are not enrolled for the current semester and are referred to a collection agency are liable for collection fees.

We invite all military, veterans and dependents to contact the Office of Veterans Services at 978-934-2461 or Veterans@uml.edu for information on military tuition assistance, VA benefits and state veterans/military credits/waivers. Students complete the certification request and submit documentation to the Office of Veterans Services prior to the start of classes. Credits/waivers must be requested by students who matriculated in an undergraduate or graduate degree program through the Office of Veterans Services. Merit- and need-based assistance grants for online courses may be available to veterans presently enrolled in undergraduate degree and certificate programs.

Students using state employee or higher education employee tuition remission should submit their documentation to the Solution Center at TSC@uml.edu. If the form requires a physical signature, please mail the original document to:
