Complete the Next Steps for a Successful Start

Number 1

Setup your Student Email and SiS Account

UML's IT department will email you log-in credentials to access your student email and UML's Student Information Services (SiS) within 24-48 hours after you have been accepted. Learn more at Accessing Student Email, SiS and Online Courses.

Number 2

Complete your Financial Responsibility Agreement (FRA) Form

Please log in to SiS and complete your FRA form. You will need to complete the FRA form once per academic year (which begins each Fall) before you can register for courses.

Number 3

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • We encourage you to complete the FAFSA, which ensures we can offer you grants and scholarships, and that you can access federal loan, by April 26.
  • After April 26 the Department of Education will be updating the FAFSA and it is anticipated that this work will prevent us from accessing your FAFSA record, and providing your financial aid award information, until late May.
  • Most students qualify for Financial Assistance! See Financial Aid for more information.
