Course Description
This course assumes no previous experience in Biology. Focus is on the following topics and their relation to the genomics revolution: the genetic code, transcription, translation, Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance, mitosis and meiosis, linkage mapping, gene structure and function, regulation of gene expression, DNA replication and repair, population genetics, quantitative genetics, evolutionary genetics. Not suitable for credit towards any degree in the Division of Sciences.
