Course Description
Properties of materials, selection of materials and processing of materials for appropriate application are the focus of this course. Case studies are utilized to demonstrate failures which need not have occurred. Materials which are considered include metals and alloys, ceramics polymers, composites, wood and concrete. Materials demonstrations will be part of the class lectures.
