Course Description

This course is designed for persons who desire a basic knowledge of food sanitation and food-borne diseases. Microbiology of food-borne diseases will be described and discussed. Transmission, prevention, and treatment of food-borne diseases will be emphasized. In addition, a new generation of food-borne pathogens, such as Camphylobacter jejuni and Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli 0157:H7 and others will be discussed.
