Course Description

Students will become familiarized with basic terminology for the analysis of narrative, and will practice analysis as they read short novels and stories by authors from different countries: Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Colombia), Jose Emilio Pacheco (Mexico), Rosario Ferre (Puerto Rico) and Miguel de Unamuno(Spain). In so doing, they will also learn more about diverse socio-historical contexts in the Hispanic world.
