Course Description
Can you work and have a life? has meaning on institutional and individual dimensions. This course examines the difficulty of reconciling demands of work, responsibilities of family life and economic and social policies. Themes to be addressed include the changing organization and nature of work and family in the global economy; the effects of technological innovations; gender role shifts and the relationship of employment and family policies on economic security and social development.
