Course Description

Provides an introduction to image signal processing and its mathematical fundamentals. Sensors, data formation, storage and access are considered. Data processing is divided into two and three dimensions. Two dimensional topics include image processing, region processing, and object recognition. Three dimensional topics include contours, lines, shading, and colors. Stereo, motion, and surface representation are also considered. Image files with halftoning are provided for class assignments.
