Course Description

The Emergency Medical Technician course content is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to provide quality pre-hospital care for patients in the emergent setting. Students will be prepared to treat and care for patients in the community prior to and during transport to a medical facility. This will include critical thinking skills to efficiently assesses, evaluate, triage, and treat medical and trauma emergency patients according to need and federal and stat guidelines. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exam.
