Course Description
Studies the development of the state and local tax systems with particular emphasis on recent Massachusetts changes in real and personal property taxation as well as business taxes; consideration of the uniformity and equality requirements of both state and federal constitutions; and emphasis on the assessment and collection of taxes and the taxpayer's legal remedies concerning tax abatements.
