This course focuses on the exploration of thematic or issue-oriented or timely topics of interest. The precise topics and methods of each section will vary. Barring duplication of topic, the course may be repeated for credit.
Prerequisites, Notes & Instructor
- Section Notes: P: ENGL.1020. Literary works are often integral to cultural movements, and reading protest literature has the capacity to teach us about history, power — and rhetorical strategy. Texts for this class will provide opportunities for learning about literature's intersections with race, class and gender through readings across multiple genres. ;
