Course Description
Introduction to the theory of the transport processes. Integral and differential approaches are used to develop the macroscopic and microscopic forms of the conservation laws. The conservation laws are used to solve practical problems in the chemical and nuclear industry.
Prerequisites, Notes & Instructor
- Prerequisites: CHEN.3030 Fluid Mechanics, and MATH.2310 Calculus III, and MATH.2360 Eng. Differential Equations, or MATH.2340 Differential Equations, or MATH.2440 Honors Differential Equations.

Instructors may deliver lessons from an off-campus location, from a campus classroom, lab or studio, and you¿ll also make use of Blackboard, UMass Lowell¿s online learning management tool.
