Course Description

An introduction to writing diagnostic hardware test programs, and the writing of programs for adapter cards and microprocessor peripherals. Included will be the writing of DOS device drivers and TSRs involving the use of BIOS and DOS calls. Also included will be the creation of PROM firmware, memory testing algorithms, address and data line tests, system initialization code and power-on self tests.
