Course Description
Success in real estate demands an entrepreneurial mindset---one that thrives on innovation, resilience, and a keen understanding of market trends. Real estate entrepreneurs encounter diverse challenges, from managing investments to adapting to market fluctuations, all while taking calculated risks to create a sustain value. The Real Estate Entrepreneurship course offers a comprehensive introduction to the foundational concepts, practices, and dynamics of the real estate industry. This course covers essential areas such as property marketing, contracts, financing, appraisal, brokerage, property management, and development. Students will explore how real estate professionals identify opportunities, navigate risks, and make critical decisions that shape both their careers and the built environment.
Prerequisites & Notes
- Prerequisites: ENTR.1500 Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Business, or Sophomore Standing. Course prerequisites/corequisites are determined by the faculty and approved by the curriculum committees. Students are required to fulfill these requirements prior to enrollment. For courses offered through online or GPS delivery, students are responsible for confirming with the instructor or department that all enrollment requirements have been satisfied before registering.
