Course Description

Advanced IP Routing focuses on IP routing protocols and principles not covered in the prerequisite courses. Primary emphasis is give to theory, configuration, operation and support of the OSPF protocol. Special considerations are given to OSPF areas, summary ranges and external routes. This course also includes a review of address masks, RIP, RIP 2, the use and configuration of IP route policy filters and an introduction to BGP and its basic configuration. Through hands-on exercises, this course provides you with the necessary skills to configure and manage OSPF, RIP, BGP and route policy filters.
