Course Description

The focus of this course is on health promotion and management of common health issues pertaining to women, from menarche to older adulthood. Based on current scientific research, students will develop knowledge to assess, diagnose and manage alterations in health ad develop holistic plans of care that address the health promotion, illness prevention, and primary care needs women across the lifespan. Sociocultural and political factors that affect the heath of women will be discussed.

Prerequisites, Notes & Instructor

  • Prerequisites: NURS.6520 APRN Care of Adults, and Matriculation in the MS in Nursing Program.
  • Section Notes: Be advised: This online course has at least one test or exam that will need to be proctored virtually by a company that the University has contracted for this service. Virtual proctors will take security measures, including a scan of your testing environment and a photo ID check. Students will also have the option to take exams on campus if they choose not to use a virtual proctor.
