Course Description

Intended for students whose background in basic algebra is current. Topics covered include: linear equations, slope of a line, quadratic equations, functions, transformations, inequalities, curve sketching, and systems of equations. Note: Students who score 45 or lower on the ALEKS math assessment should consider enrolling in MATH.1115 first. Credit is given for only one of the following courses; MATH.1200, or MATH.1210.

Prerequisites, Notes & Instructor

  • Prerequisites: ALEKS Math Placement 26 or higher, or a B- or higher in MATH.1115 Fundamentals of Algebra.
  • Special Notes: Credit is given for only one of the following courses; MATH.1200, or MATH.1210.
  • Section Notes: GPS students only; Be advised: This online course has at least one test or exam that will need to be proctored virtually by a company that the University has contracted for this service. Virtual proctors will take security measures, including a scan of your testing environment and photo ID check. There is no additional charge to the student for this. Online students will also have an option to take exams on campus if they choose not to use a virtual proctor. There will be no additional cost if students choose to take exams on campus. Detailed information about how the virtual proctored exam works will be available to you in Blackboard when the course begins.
