Overview
This class provides an intensive review of the materials based on the Project
Management Institute, A guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge,
(PMBOK® Guide) - Fifth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc.
It
is a combination of (1) taking assessment tests to evaluate where each
student needs to focus their final studying and (2) highlighting important
areas of study to ensure readiness for the PMP® exam. Students will improve
their test-taking skills and knowledge base by completing a Sample Test
for each of the PMI Knowledge Areas and Professional Responsibility.
Audience
All who need a
refresher course in preparation for taking the PMP®
or CAPM® Certification exam. Becoming certified is recognition that
recipients have met the knowledge, education, and experience requirements
of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

It is recommended that the students purchase a PMBOK® Guide Fifth
Edition, as a reference
in advance of the class.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes
- Instructor identifies knowledge area strengths and weakness of each student
during their introduction at the start of the class.
- Outcome of the class is to enhance how the students approach studying for
the exam as well as a comprehensive understanding of the PMBOK® Guide and the inter-relationships
between the knowledge areas and the process groups to provide an optimal chance to pass the exam.
- Class feedback at the end of training asks questions about attendee's readiness
for the exam after taking the class. Students are also encouraged to
respond to the instructor upon completion of exam.
This approach clearly identifies the needs of the students, helps them to
better prepare to take the exam and provides feedback about their success.
