Planning & Scheduling

Overview

In today's technology-driven, fast-paced business environment, there's no time for missed deadlines or outdated software. Effectively managing multiple projects and tight timelines is critical to your bottom line.

This seminar is based on the core knowledge areas of the Project Management Institute (PMI)®: Scope, Time, Cost and Integration Management - and it will go beyond these core features into the latest Agile and quality methodologies. It is appropriate for all project stakeholders who know the fundamentals but want to expand their toolkit with new techniques and metrics for planning, scheduling, executing and successfully closing projects.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

All projects are investments, funded and performed for the value they achieve. In this regard, project managers are responsible for maximizing the return on that investment. Using standard PMBOK® Guide and PMI Agile Practice Guide techniques, enhanced by the techniques and metrics of Total Project Control, this seminar explores all the main tools of project scope and schedule development. This seminar is essential for professionals who need to develop project requirements and meet deadlines. At the end of this seminar, attendees will know how to tackle an assigned project: where to start, how to define the work, how to make estimates, and how to lead a team in developing a schedule
