Course Description

Serves as a continuation of MATH.2250. This course covers curvature, cylindrical surfaces, dot and cross products, curves and planes in three space, cylindrical and spherical coordinates, functions of two variables, chain rule, directional derivatives and gradient, tangent planes, and double and triple integrals in rectangular, polar, cylindrical and spherical coordinate systems.

  • Prerequisites: MATH.2250 Calculus C
  • Special Notes: MA
  • Section Notes: combined with MATH.2310-031. Be advised: This online course has at least one test or exam that will need to be proctored virtually by a company that the University has contracted for this service. Virtual proctors will take security measures, including a scan of your testing environment and a photo ID check. There is an additional charge for this which the student is expected to pay (no more than $20 per exam). Students will also have the option to take exams on campus if they choose not to use a virtual proctor.
