Course Description

This is the first of a two course capstone sequence. It provides an integrative design experience in engineering. Students work in teams and apply their engineering problem solving skills on open-ended, real-world biomedical projects. This course has an emphasis on team work, communication, report writing, oral presentations, project definition and project planning.

Prerequisites, Notes & Instructor

  • Prerequisites: BMEN.3200 Quantitative Physiology, and BMEN.3205L Quantitative Physiology Lab, and Pre- or Co-req: BMEN.3100 Transport Phenomena, and BMEN.4310 Biomechanics.
  • Section Notes: Live Online Course; Live Online Course; Attend class remotely during specific days and times (sometimes referred to as synchronous learning). Instructors may deliver lessons from an off-campus location, from a campus classroom, lab or studio, and you¿ll also make use of Blackboard, UMass Lowell¿s online learning management tool.
