REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS

To drop a non-credit course offered by the Division of Graduate, Online and Professional Studies at UMass Lowell ("GPS"), which includes the summer Plastics Engineering Seminar series, registrants must write to Corporate_Education@uml.edu with a notice of cancellation within the refund schedule noted below.

REFUND SCHEDULE FOR NON-CREDIT COURSES

Please note that non-attendance of classes and verbal or email messages directly to faculty or staff do not constitute a cancellation notification.

REGISTRATION TRANSFER REQUESTS

In some circumstances, we may accept requests to transfer a registration for another person (e.g., if a colleague at the same company wishes to attend in a registrant's place). Those transfer requests should be made to Corporate_Education@uml.edu.

SWITCHING SEMINAR SESSIONS OR TOPICS

Registrants who are not able to attend the seminar session they registered for and would like to switch their registration to an alternate session or topic may do so within the same calendar year if there is space in the session/topic they request. Registrants are responsible for any increase in price for the new seminar/topic. Similarly, UMass Lowell will issue a refund if the new registration fee is less than the original registration fee. Please email Corporate_Education@uml.edu to switch seminars/topics.

NON-CREDIT COURSE CANCELLATIONS BY UMASS LOWELL

On occasion, we may have to cancel non-credit courses due to low enrollment. Low enrollment cancellations will be made by GPS in writing to registrants 7-14 business days prior to the first scheduled date of the course. We may also cancel courses for unforeseen circumstances including—but not limited to—faculty or staff emergencies, weather events, technical or facilities issues, etc. In any of these cases, registrants may either (a) opt for a 100% refund or (b) hold the balance for a future non-credit course offered through GPS. Such credits will be held for one (1) calendar year. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance other than low enrollment, out-of-state travel expenses for in-person courses may be considered for full or partial refunds. Those requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and should be made to Corporate_Education@uml.edu.
