The University of Massachusetts Lowell's School of Education

world. Schools have a critical need for leaders with an informed multi-disciplinary perspective on organizational life, who
demonstrate excellent knowledge, judgment and skills in their professional fields, promote equity of educational opportunity
for all learners, use inquiry and research to address educational challenges and possess the collaborative capabilities to
transform relationships among people in school.
The School of Education is a leading provider of graduate-level programs in education. The GSE offers a wide
array of teacher licensure programs, Education Specialist degrees, Master's Degrees and Doctorates in Education. The programs
can be categorized into four areas: Curriculum and Instruction, Language Arts and Literacy, Leadership in Schooling, and
Mathematics and Science Education.
The GSE partners regularly with schools and colleges in Massachusetts, offering extensive professional development opportunities
for educators as well as programs for high school students to enhance their college preparation. Graduates of the teacher licensure
programs have consistently scored at the top of the state's rankings.
